I have six poems up at Biscuit Root Drive. These were the last poems I wrote before the COVID-19 pandemic put so many things, including my motivation to write, on hold. I have started several new poems in the last week, though. I may be stuck inside, but my mind is slowly getting unstuck.

I'm excited to announce I recently started a new job at the University of Nebraska Omaha, where I'll be serving as an advisor/coordinator for the Master of Arts in Critical & Creative Thinking program.
Sadly, this new job and recent move to Omaha has left me little time for my writing and photography, but I'm hoping to jump back in soon.
I was recently featured in two NPR pieces regarding my recent exposure to a COVID-19 patient and the call I received from my public health department.
Katie's poem "True Calling" is now up over at The McKinley Review.
Katie's poem, "Fall Semester Career Test," is up today over at Sparks of Calliope.
